The sole is the fabulous Aris Allen Raw Sole; awesome to dance on.

The heel is 2 1/4" and the platform is 1/2" (making the heel feel like it's only 1 3/4").

Sole is flexible to help you feel the floor. Great swing dance shoes because of the cute styling, slideable sole, and the comfort you expect in a swing shoe (that's going to be on the dance floor all night).

At right is a photograph of the vintage shoe that was copied to make this beauty. Because the original has a slightly large toe hole for Forties shoes this is a bad choice for women with very, very narrow feet (your toes will come out the end).
