  Trumpet Skirt $34.95

This is not a circle skirt. It is designed to be fitted around the waist and hips, then dramatically flares out at the bottom. Photo at right shows what happens when you stop spinning and what it looks like when you're standing still.
The
fabric is polyester gabardine, but feels like a cross between
cotton and summerweight wool. You will not be disappointed. It
has a 1.5" waistband and left side zipper.
The bottom hem should hang (on most) at or barely below the knee. Fabric is heavy enough to swish nicely when you stop for a break.
This skirt was chosen for the show "So You Think You Can Dance" for the Lindy Hop routine...
Yes! THEY'RE MACHINE WASHABLE!
The skirts are unlined and the material has some "give" to it. The photos make the skirt look like it comes in different lengths... it does not, the model was just spinning faster in the red pic.
This beautiful skirt was designed by Lindy Hopper Naomi Uyama who has spent most of the last 10 years of her life creating beautiful retro/vintage-inspired clothing (that, and A LOT of dancing).
MEASUREMENTS:
(Taken after machine washing - so measurements are a smitch smaller
than unwashed). Back is a bit longer than listed length because
this skirt is so fitted above the rump. ALL MEASUREMENTS
ARE APPROXIMATE.
