Aris Allen Photo Contest Rules

Here's the long version of the Aris Allen Photo Contest Rules:

HOW DO I SUBMIT AN ENTRY AND HOW DO I GET MY 20% OFF COUPON FOR DOING SO?

Just email up to 10 photos to PhotoContest@ArisAllen.com

To qualify for the 20%-Off Coupon:
Photos must be owned by you, have at least one person in them wearing Aris Allen shoes, be the correct format (see below), and be free of watermarks.
You will be sent a code for 20% off any purchase on ArisAllen.com within a week of submitting an entry. The codes will expire on December 31, 2019.

WHAT FORMAT SHOULD MY PHOTO BE?

Please submit all photos in a .JPG or .PNG format. Photos must be free of watermarks and at least 1000x1000 pixels to qualify.

DO YOU ACCEPT BLACK-AND-WHITE PHOTOGRAPHS?

Absolutely!

I WANT TO SUBMIT A PHOTOGRAPH OF A STRANGER THAT WAS SHOT SPONTANEOUSLY IN PUBLIC. WILL I NEED A MODEL RELEASE?

If your photo was shot in a public place (a restaurant, a park, a dance that the public is invited to, etc.) then legally you are 100% covered. Please ensure all main subjects in focus of the image are aware you are submitting their photo to a contest. If we receive notice that you were told not to use a photo we will automatically disqualify you from winning. If you take a photo of someone and they are not in a public place you must receive a model release before submitting their photo.

WHEN WILL THE WINNING PHOTOS BE ANNOUNCED?

We will send emails out to our winners by October 10, 2019.

EXACTLY WHAT STYLES OF ARIS ALLEN SHOES CAN I WIN?

For winners of Aris Allen Shoes:
Prizes are limited to any Aris Allen shoes actually in stock.

WHO SELECTS THE WINNERS?

Our panel of Lindy Hoppers will vote on the winners after the submission period ends. Yeah, it's just our staff and our friends - but we're all dancers!

WHAT RIGHTS DO I RETAIN TO MY PHOTOGRAPH?

You retain ownership and all rights to your photograph; however, by entering the contest, it is assumed that you grant Dalmatian Corporation permission, royalty-free, to publish submitted photos on the Ari Allen.com and DanceStore.com website, our Instagram and Facebook pages, and to reproduce images for outreach and promotional purposes. If you do not agree to these terms then do not enter the contest. Dalmatian Corporation (the parent company of Aris Allen and Dancestore.com) will not be required to pay any consideration in connection with such uses beyond prizes awarded to the winners and photographs that do not win may be posted by us as well.

IS IT OK TO ENTER A PHOTOGRAPH THAT HAS BEEN ON MY WEBSITE OR MY SOCIAL MEDIA?

Yes, photographs from your own site or social media are eligible for submission. As long as you own the rights to the photo and agree to all our rules, you can submit it!

LEGAL STUFF:

Absolutely anything that is illegal is not allowed in this contest. By submitting any and all entries to this contest you agree to hold Dalmatian Corporation and its owners harmless should any problems arise.
